A little farewell

Hey y'all, it's been a while....

I barely blogged the past year, I've just had so much going on.

I've prayed about it, and I think it might be time to close down this little blog.

At least for now.

For lack of a better term, I guess I've become an adult. 

I'm extremely busy, and extremely happy just living my life.

When I do have the free time to blog, I'd rather sleep, and that's what I've been doing.

no shame.

Sleep is a rare commodity these days.

This is real bittersweet for me, as this little blog has been a wonderful outlet for me.

It's also chronicled many of my ups and downs the past two and a half years.

I just feel at this time, I need to focus on me and being happy, and living my life.

When I have stuff to share down the road, I may be back, but for now I need an official break.

(granted I've been on a break, but never really told y'all)

I've learned so much about myself with this little blog.

I've made some amazing friends.

I've learned that some things will always remain constant regardless....

There will always be that boy, 3 years later, I just can't get over

There will always be that best friend who I can just sit with in silence

There will always be that most supportive family in the world

There will be failures, but triumphs are sure to follow.

I've also learned that in a few years, heck in a few months, everything can radically change

I've met an amazing man

School is wonderful (never thought I'd say that)

I'm moving to a brand new city

So as I'm about to start a new chapter in the book that is my life, this is my little farewell (for now) and THANK YOU to all of you. 

I have truly enjoyed your emails, comments, reading all of your blogs, and getting to know each of you. 

It's truly what has made this experience so wonderful. 

Who knows, maybe in a couple months, or a year, I'll be back...

This summer was crazy hot, so we all made great use of our IOA/Universal annual passes and went pretty much every afternoon (to atleast ride the Hulk and the water rides!)

Annual St. Jude day at Chili's! 

An amazing summer with friends!

Unfortunately had way too many goodbye parties to attend at the end of summer!

Football season started!

Spent a weekend up in Tuscaloosa.....ROLL TIDE

JLGO had a fun event at Howl at the Moon

Mommy came to visit AND it was the soft opening of New Fantasyland at Disney!

I got to volunteer at Festival of Trees opening Gala this year through Council 101! 

(Let me just say, Orlando may be bigger than my hometown of VB, but I am pleased to say VB definitely gives Orlando's FOT a good run for it's money!!)

I went back on the last day of FOT with JM to enjoy it all.

It was a gorgeous day.

My professor invited a few of us to her husband's law office Christmas party. 

We had a good time....to say the least.

It was insane. Over 3,000 people were there.

MP turns 2!!

Yesterday, my little blog turned two. 

TWO!!! 

Oh my goodness. 

I can't believe it's been two years.

A few weeks ago, I went through some of my posts from the beginning. It's funny how so much as changed, and it's funny how at the same time, nothing has really changed. Sure, I may be living else where currently (not on a little island in the middle of the caribbean anymore) but life is a circle. There's good and there's bad, there's ups and there's downs. I'm so thankful for the things and the people who have been constant in my life these past two crazy years. I'm also so thankful for the changes, because I know that albeit hard and difficult at times, it's helped me grow as a person. 

A little shout out to 'M' (some of you may remember him if you've been reading my blog from the beginning):

I know we haven't spoken in a while, but thank you for encouraging me to start this blog and for being it's biggest supporter from the start! 

This blog has been more than just a creative outlet these past two years, it's been a life changing one... cliche, I know, but so true. I've met so many amazing people! I've had so many blog friends/twitter friends become real life friends. I've had so many wonderful opportunities. I know at the end of the day, I've changed drastically in the past two years, yet at the same time, I'm still just little ol' me.

Living in Orlando, my friends and I all have year around passes to the parks (Universal/Islands of Adventure and Disney!!)

Of course we use any excuse possible to go to the parks as often as possible.

St Chapelle

One of the touristy sites I always visit in Paris is St Chapelle.

I'm simply obsessed.

In college, as an Art History major, I wrote many many papers on St Chapelle!
